IIS 4 (NT Option Pack) and IIS 5 (Windows 2000) provide an SMTP service. Although it seems to work well for sending mail you won't be able to build a mail server based on this service, because there is neither a mail delivery system nor a POP server. So I decided to write a mail delivery / POP3 server service. It should work well for small and medium-sized mail systems. I've used it for months as my business office mailer and in laboratory and training environment. Try it for free: pop3srv.tgz
